Helm’s Diquat AG is for postemergent weed control and for use as a desiccant to aid in harvest. The active ingredient, Diquat, interacts with green plant tissue to produce compounds which destroy plant cells. The herbicidal activity is usually quite rapid and visual effects are present within 1 to 2 days. Because of this rapid activity, Helm’s Diquat AG is rainfast in only 30 minutes of application.
Helm’s Diquat AG is also very effective desiccant to aid in harvest and is registered for use as such in Alfalfa, Clover, Potato, Grain Sorghum, and Soybean. Helm’s Diquat AG is also a very effective postemergent weed control herbicide in noncrop and nonplanted areas around the farm or farmstead. It can also be used around the farmyard in equipment areas, and dry areas around ponds, lakes or draining ditches
